27.5kV Railway Porcelain Gapless Surge Arrester
Product introduction:
Normally there are 2 kinds of DC SA for railway system:
1/ 750V, Ur=1.0kV, 8/20μs residual voltage at 20kA: 2.4kV;
2/ 1500V, Ur=2.0kV, 8/20μs residual voltage at 20kA: 4.8kV.
A porcelain surge arrester is a type of surge arrester that features a housing made of porcelain, a ceramic material. This type of surge arrester is also known as a ceramic surge arrester.
Porcelain surge arresters are designed to protect electrical equipment and systems from voltage surges or transients caused by lightning strikes, switching operations, or other transient events. The porcelain housing provides mechanical support and insulation to the internal components of the surge arrester.
Porcelain surge arrester is of high mechanical strength, longer creepage distance, excellent electrical insulation performance, strong dielectric strength, tracking resistance, high- and low-temperature resistance and sandstorm resistance. The multi-sealing structure of the housing provides high sealing performance and long service life.
Porcelain surge arresters have been widely used in power distribution systems, substations, and other high-voltage applications. They are known for their mechanical strength, excellent electrical insulation properties, and resistance to environmental factors such as moisture, UV radiation, and pollution. Porcelain housing provides robust and durable protection for the internal surge suppression elements.
